Try It On Everything film spreads message of hope, healing and joy

Let's face it. Telling your friends, family or co-workers about the bizarre-looking tapping techniques that resolve your emotional and physical problems ain't always easy.

Maybe you've wished for a compelling, low-woo, professionally produced video that you could give to people to watch. Well, your wish is now reality.

Try It On Everything is a powerful documentary film that allows viewers to see for themselves the healing power of Emotional Freedom Techniques. The film features 10 people, with some heavy-duty issues, who attend a retreat to learn EFT.

Staying true to the nature of a documentary, the producers were willing to show the raw results, whether they ended in triumph or defeat. Producer Nick Ortner writes on his Web site, "My intent was to capture the essence and spirit of the EFT process, revealing both its successes and difficulties."

That down-to-earth honesty is one of its greatest gifts. People are skeptical about alternative healing methods because of the outrageous claims their advocates often push.

Free Help for Vets With PTSD in Nationwide Study

In March of this year, Gary Craig and five EFT experts did an EFT intensive with 11 veterans and their family members. They gathered data on their levels of PTSD (posttraumatic stress disorder) before and after the event. The results were spectacular, with their PTSD levels dropping by an average of 63 percent. For the last three months they've maintained most of the ground they gained during the intensive.

Now, the Iraq Vets Stress Project, which offers EFT to all veterans free of charge, is launching a nationwide study of vets with PTSD (whether or not they served in Iraq). If you know of a veteran who is suffering from nightmares, health problems, flashbacks, insomnia, or some of the other symptoms of PTSD, please encourage them to apply for the study. Help is available in many cities, as well as over the phone.
